Our Story
Why we created the edgiemethod™?
For more than a decade, Lynn Herrick and Sorana Petersen worked together at GreatCall, helping transform it from a startup into an $800M acquisition by Best Buy. As COO, Lynn saw new grads arrive full of promise but unclear on how to communicate who they were or meet early expectations. As VP of HR, Sorana watched mid-level and rising leaders struggle—not for lack of talent, but because no one had ever taught them the fundamentals of navigating corporate life.
We both kept seeing the same thing: smart, capable people entering the workforce unprepared, learning through painful, avoidable mistakes, and developing habits that limited future growth.
Alongside our corporate work, we coached, mentored, and taught college students, new grads, and early career talent, studying what helped them thrive and what consistently held them back. When we compared notes, we realized we were each building parts of the same solution. That’s when the edgiemethod took shape.
Together, we designed a practical, honest, deeply personalized process that guides the transition from campus to corporate. The result is a framework that teaches students what truly matters: how to communicate their story, build their professional brand, evaluate opportunities, navigate early career challenges, and launch with confidence.

Lynn Herrick
Lynn is a corporate leader with more than 20 years of experience guiding high-growth organizations through operational transformation. Throughout her career—hiring, coaching, and developing talent across technology, telecommunications, manufacturing, and healthcare—she repeatedly saw new graduates struggle to navigate the realities of corporate life.
Over the past three years, Lynn has focused on supporting college students and recent grads, helping them build confidence, communicate their strengths, and stand out as they transition from campus to the corporate world. The students she has coached have successfully launched their careers, stepping into their first roles with clarity and purpose. Inspired by these experiences, and guiding her own young adult children to success, Lynn co-founded Edgie Method , a framework built from the lessons, observations, and real-world challenges she witnessed in her personal and professional life.

Sorana Petersen
Sorana is a seasoned HR executive and certified Executive Coach with more than 20 years of experience developing people and cultures. During her corporate career leading HR teams, recruiting and promoting talent, and guiding leaders through tough decisions—she consistently saw young professionals unprepared for what corporate life actually demands.
After years of coaching senior leaders through her company Vyze, Consulting & Coaching, Sorana recognized that many of the challenges they faced could have been prevented, or significantly reduced, if they had entered the corporate world with stronger foundations.
Motivated by this insight, she co-founded Edgie Method , a framework shaped by the real lessons, challenges, and observations she encountered while hiring, coaching, and developing people throughout her career.
